Galloway celebrates its children, youth, and the adults who serve with them. Safe Sanctuaries is an initiative of the United Methodist Church to adopt policies and procedures to reduce the risk of child abuse in the church. Galloway is committed to creating a caring, nurturing, and safe environment for all of our children, youth, and the adults who minister to them.

The Children’s Moment is a special time specifically designated for children attending the 8:30 and 11:00 service. During this time, children are invited to come down front with Ms. Meg and spend a few minutes focusing on the scripture lesson for the morning. This time is designed to have the children engage in and understand the scripture and topic for the day in a way that is meaningful and age appropriate.

Following the Children’s Moment at 8:30 children are invited to return to their seats.  
Following the Children's Moment at 11:00 children ages PK3-K5 are invited to Children's Church, located in the Children's Wing. Staff and volunteers will escort the Children to Children's Church, and parents can pick up following the service.

Children's Church in not offered on the first Sunday of each month so that families can celebrate communion together.

Galloway’s children’s Sunday school teachers work with Ms. Meg to select curriculum for students that engages children in interactive, age-appropriate learning through story, craft, song, games, and discussion to teach the stories of Scripture and apply them to our lives.

All classes meet during the Sunday School hour between services from 9:45am-10:45am

The nursery is open for each worship service for children from infants through three years of age. A nursery is also available during Wednesday Night Summit and for many of the Bible Studies and special events upon request.

The Nursery is found in the Children's Wing located on the 3rd floor annex.

The Tween Ministry is a ministry offered to our 3rd-5th graders in the church. This ministry acts as a bridge beTWEEN the Lighthouse Kids Ministry and the youth ministry. Lessons and activities begin to shift from crafts to stories to application and discussion.

Confirmation is offered to children and youth in 5th and 6th grade who are ready to take the next step in their spiritual formation and become a member of the church. During confirmation, children learn about the history of the United Methodist Church, dive deeper in the scripture, and learn the meaning behind the sacraments, the Trinity, and the Wesley Quadrilateral.
